The links below will bring you to district-wide information on achievement pertaining to SPPS students.  Definitions of these terms are provided in the links below or in the Glossary.

• OVERALL PERFORMANCE: summary of overall district performance, as reported in the SPPS Annual Report.

• MINNESOTA COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT, Series II (MCA-IIs): are reading and mathematics tests that help schools and districts measure student progress toward state academic standards.  In 2006-07, these tests were given in grades 3-8, 10 and 11 in reading and mathematics.

• GRADUATION REQUIRED ASSESSMENT for DIPLOMA (GRAD): is administered to students in grade 9 (writing), grade 10 (reading) and grade 11 (math). Students may re-take any of these tests until they pass.

• ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP) PROGRAM: provides motivated high school students with the opportunity to take college-level courses and earn college credit, in a high school setting.

• ACT ASSESSMENT: is a college entrance exam used to assess high school students' ability to complete college-level work. This report includes student groups, list of schools, and state and national comparisons.
